Dear Fellow Alumni,
It is my great pleasure and honor to serve as the President for your Berks County Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association. The Chapter has been working over the last year holding Chapter events and activities to serve the alumni who live and work in and around Berks County. Whether you are alumni, family of alumni, faculty, staff, student, or just a friend of Penn State, we hope you will consider joining our Chapter. The Berks County Alumni Chapter is chartered through the main Penn State Alumni Association. However, you do not have to be a member of the Alumni Association to be a member of the Berks County Chapter. Many of our events are open not only to our members, but also to any Penn State Alumni or friends of the University.
As a chapter, we feel strongly that we are a service organization. We are here to serve our fellow alumni and the University, as well as our Berks County community. We also partner very closely with the Penn State Berks campus to support both their student and alumni activities. An alumni chapter typically does social events (happy hours, bus trips, tailgate parties, etc.), networking events, and service activities (community service, THON, etc.) to accomplish this goal.
If you interested in becoming a member of our chapter, you can join here. We are also looking for alumni who are interested in getting involved in a leadership or planning role. For more information about the chapter, please contact Shawn Hinkle or Michael Rowley.
Thanks,
Shawn Hinkle '01
President
Berks County Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association
